PROJECT DETAILS
Mitigation of hydraulic risk in the "Pantanello" basin
Summary of analysis of the existing relief state
The filling level starts from the lamination tank located downstream of the spillway which receives the peak rainfall flow rate from the 2 pumps inserted in the spillway compartment. The lamination tank is completely filled and the flow overflows towards the relevant perimeter areas up to 1.3m from the ground level and 2.6m from the tank level. It is the maximum filling level of the rolling tank n.1, the flow rate comes out of the two concrete pipes of the DN1000, located approximately 1.3m high from the bottom of the level 2 tank and invades the surrounding area up to an average height of approximately 0.8m.
The functioning of the Spillway Organ is guaranteed in every rainfall and unexpected event as:
a) There are 2 diesel pumps which are activated through the piezometric sensor, of variable pressure from the control panel.
b) In the event of a malfunction of the piezometric sensor, there are two reserve start/stop floats for simultaneous activation of the pumps (in the first batch, 2 pumps).
c) In the event of the pumps not functioning, an emergency gravity drain has been inserted through a DN1000 concrete pipe, which is activated at the upper generator of the inlet pipe, guaranteeing a one-way drain as it is equipped with a valve downstream with clapet, functioning for a reservoir of approximately 1400m
d) The further flow rates, while generating a level of piezometric pressure in the inlet pipe of the spillway, up to almost the upstream sump (1.22 see profile table 1), pass by the first chamber of the spillway through the sky opening created with orsogrill panel measuring 400x200cm, also provided for maintenance of the hydraulic jumping chamber.
