The technical-economic feasibility project of the wastewater purification plant, serving the municipality of Peschici, became necessary due to various problems that the current plant presents. 
For this purpose, various hypotheses were envisaged for the search for the new site where to locate the new plant and after a series of technical/environmental assessments it was decided to locate the plant approximately 5 km from the town, also laying the foundations for a new and future urban planning of the Municipality of Peschici.
In the technical feasibility study, the implementation of the sewerage network within the town was also envisaged, as well as a modern purification technology, contemplating the refinement of waste water and the reduction of odorous emissions.
